June in Bloom

Always a pleasure to see bright colors in a vast green space (slight exaggeration of the adjectives here) and this year is/was no exception. My gardening prowess is limited, as is my vocabulary about such matters,  so I  often simply gamble. First, however, put the brightest colored geraniums in hanging pots to decorate the rear facade of the house. Next, snap up a bevy of flower bulbs early enough so there is bound to be a surprise later in the unfolding shapes and shades of whatever is supposed to spring up in spring.

Glory  begins when rain comess along  to feed the plants buried deeply (or however) in the soil.    Not a very professional approach but spontaneity certainly does offer the satisfaction of thinking such a wacky scheme  can work.

That way, too, I can't be disappointed if nothing happens: my own fault, my handicap...though I usually find nature cooperating as long as I tend to this makeshift garden in a loving way.
